Go to “Wikipedia.†Hit “random†and the first article you get is the name of your band. Then go to “Random Quotations†and the last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. Then, go to Flickr and click on “Explore the Last Seven Days†and the third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Put it all together (in photoshop, with glue, etc).
The image above is how mine came out.
(I airbrushed out the watermark of that photo's creator, because it was distracting. Here's a link to the original: http://www.flickr.com/photos/occhipij/3303084434/)

I saw Danny Hoch's play "Taking Over", about the gentrification of Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past Saturday, and have mixed feelings. On one hand, Hoch is a brilliant performer with incredible stamina and a keen eye for details. On the other hand he plays the victim card a little heavily, as if the transformation of his life-long neighborhood is a tragedy on the same scale of September 11th itself.
Deeper questions posed by Hoch are muddled by a segment towards the end in which he self analyzes himself and the play while reading letters from viewers who for one reason or another disliked his message. ("I look forward to reading your letters", Danny says to the audience. "I can see you writing them right now, in your heads.")
I would recommend that you go see the play. It's thought provoking, funny and deeply sad at times. It's impossible to sit through without feeling guilty of the same sense of entitlement that the play tears apart -- which I think is a good thing. It will also keep Danny in his Williamsburg loft, with some money left over to spend at his Whole Foods -- a place he loves to hate and hates to love.

I saw Werner Herzog speak at UCLA tonight. He told a great story involving Errol Morris, Ed Gein, and Plainview Wisconsin.
